The EUWT-SE network (EUROPEAN WATERBORNE TRANSPORT SYNERGIES ECOSYSTEM) is a collaboration network with the aim of identifying common areas of interest, explore ways to adopt best practices and to enhance project results for the benefit of waterborne transport. The network works including joint workshops, knowledge exchange, sharing of public documents, and harmonized development of best practices with several objectives:

      • Adopting common best practices, expanding the dissemination and exploitation of individual project results for the benefit of the waterborne transport sector.

      • Proposing future EU policies, removing barriers hindering the successful application of project results.

      • Sharing and harmonizing results with ongoing R&D projects focusing on fleet decarbonization and electrification, facilitating compliance with international and EU emission targets.

      • Facilitating open innovation principles while safeguarding IPR rights of technology providers.

Joining this network will allow BlueBARGE to be a a key player in shaping waterborne transport policies and advancing new technologies in this field.

On July 5, the BlueBARGE project participated in the EUWT Synergies Ecosystem Workshop titled ‘The Roadmap to Reach Our EUWT-SE Goals.’ Representatives from Flexship, Hypobatt, Seabat, Aeneas, Nemoship, and DT4GS also attended. BlueBARGE was represented by MagellanCircle and NTUA. During the workshop, various topics were discussed, including the exchange of technical views on the most significant aspects of each project to leverage common results and the definition of a coordinated work plan to map common activities, with a focus on exploitation and communication targets.
