BlueBARGE partner Multimarine Services has successfully completed the heavy lift operation of the 400-ton barge ATLAS. Using the Liebherr LR1750 Crawler Crane (SWL 750t), Multimarine safely lifted the ATLAS out of the water for scheduled maintenance and comprehensive refurbishment. This ensures the barge meets the rigorous standards required for the upcoming BlueBARGE Project retrofit activities.
This phase is a critical step in the project, as the ATLAS will be used to prototype and realize the power barge concept at the heart of BlueBARGE. The refurbishment is designed to enhance the barge’s functionality, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
