BlueBARGE at BioCNG-to-Cold Ironing event in Limassol

On October 31, BlueBARGE participated in BioCNG-to-Cold Ironing workshop in Limassol

On October 31, the BlueBARGE project was prominently featured at the BioCNG-to-Cold Ironing workshop “Innovation Proposals to Achieve the Decarbonisation Targets of the Shipping Industry.” The event, hosted in Limassol, Cyprus, highlighted initiatives aimed at advancing maritime sustainability. A key moment of the workshop was the presentation by Konstantinos Voutzoulidis of the project coordinator ABS, who delivered the talk titled “BlueBARGE: An Overview, Project Objectives, and Main Outcomes”. His presentation provided insights into the project’s ambitions and achievements, further underlining its role in supporting the industry’s transition to greener practices. The BioCNG-to-Cold Ironing project, a sister initiative to BlueBARGE, served as an excellent platform to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing between the two projects. By uniting efforts, these initiatives are contributing significantly to the decarbonisation of maritime operations.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the BioCNG-to-Cold Ironing partners for the opportunity to participate and to CMMI, represented by George Mallouppas, for their active engagement.
