On July 3rd, the BlueBARGE project was presented at the public event “Maritime Decarbonisation in Action: EU-Funded Innovation & Collaboration”, held in Istanbul immediately following the project’s third General Assembly.
Hosted by project partner Elkon, the event brought together experts and key stakeholders from across the maritime sector to discuss the future of clean energy and collaboration in decarbonisation. During the event, Konstantinos Voutzoulidis from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) introduced the BlueBARGE offshore power barge concept, highlighting its potential to accelerate port electrification and reduce emissions throughout Europe.
