Project Coordinator American Bureau of Shipping showcases BlueBARGE at SMM – Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine Technology, the leading international maritime industry event, taking place in Hamburg from 1 to 4 September 2026.
SMM brings together the international maritime community, including shipyards, shipping companies, suppliers, research institutions and technology providers. With its strong focus on innovation and the future of the maritime industry, the event represented the perfect stage to present BlueBARGE and its innovative power barge concept currently under development.
On 1 September, the BlueBARGE project was presented at the ABS booth, where the Project Coordinator, together with the project’s technical partners, introduced the project and discussed its key features and specificities with visitors. The presentation provided an opportunity to engage directly with potential end users of BlueBARGE and to highlight how the project aims to facilitate electrification in ports and terminals.
